Here in northern New Mexico the water has a lot of calcium/caliche. I am noticing what appears to be buildup on my vanda roots and I suspect they do not like it. Can I put some vinegar in their water to help remove this buildup?

Adding vinegar to the water may help adjust the pH, but will do absolutely nothing to remove the dissolved solids content. For that, you’re going to need a reverse osmosis system.

Approximately how much water do you use per-watering, and how often?
