What is a 'trophy' on this site?

    I was looking at my alerts and noticed that I had been rewarded a 'trophy'. I did a search but did not find anything referencing this. So what does this mean? Thanks!!

    Hi Joanie. I'm a moderator and I didn't know that trophies were awarded :oops:. It may be for your first post or first "like" received. Wish I could tell you more. Maybe someone else that has received one will speak up.

    Thanks Kelly. But I still don't know what they are in relation to posting and this forum. Is it like an award? Who gives them out? I know I'm old, but this one escapes me. :confused:

    I'm pretty sure there won't be a cash prize that goes with it. I've been on the forum for a long time and don't have a clue. How did you find out you got one?

    I got one I think when I had some (fairly small) number of posts or maybe "likes"... It was in my Alerts. It must have been someone's good idea at some time... If you spend a couple of additional dollars along with the "trophy" you might get a cup of coffee.;)

    The site gives out participation trophies at set levels. Like number of post made and likes received. I can not find that information now but I know it is/was somewhere on the site.

    Marni, it was under the alerts. I saw I had quite a few of alerts so I opened it up and saw the first one that said ' You have been awarded a trophy: First Message' and 'You have been awarded a trophy: Somebody likes you'. I was just curious as to how and why they are given out. I guess like DarleneJay and Roberta said it must be sort of automatic. I'm just trying to learn my way around on this side of the forum. Didn't get into this stuff when I was lurking....:D

    Just found out the way to view ALL the trophies. On the alert message click on the highlighted message (in my case) 'First Message' and then you can select the option to view all available trophies. Seems like Roberta and Darlene were right. :clap:
