    Hello :)
Can you let me know what type of orchid I have?
I live in Dubai, UAE where the air conditioner is on most of the time, and recently my orchid has started to wilt, and I thought the dry air is causing this, so I started watering it more often, but it only made things worse.
As you can see, the roots are healthy, but the leaves are wilting, what exactly is wrong and how can I revive it?

    Appreciate your help!
    Thanks,
    Alexandra

How long have you had it? Looks like it might be a type needing dormancy? If the roots are healthy that could be it. Are you even sure it's an orchid? I'm curious as to what is

thanks for your response! yes it's definitely an orchid. the leaves and roots demonstrate that. How can dormancy help it? and how do I put it in that state?

It looks to me like a plant that has desiccated to death.

Usually that is due to an inadequate root system, lost due to suffocation in too compact of a medium, but judging by the one, healthy-looking root and the very coarse bark, I'd lean more toward drastic underwatering.
