I don't wanna say exact number but it is probably 10 times more than what I would allow myself to pay for an orchid 9 years ago when I first got into this hobby.

    For me...about $250.

The most expensive orchid I ever saw was a blue Phal. violacea - one mature and one offspring that had been wild collected. In the early '80s they were offered as a package for $35,000.

I don't know if that was the price paid, but if it was, it was still a good investment, as every "blue" phalaenopsis since then originated with those plants.

Are you asking when I bought the plant, or if I’m asking about the question I asked?

The year you bought the plant. To get an impression for how long you already have been in Orchids, or to check your age. Seeing your posts, then 13 is not very convincing ;)

To be honest i don't remember exactly when or what i bought but i'm pretty sure that's the most i've spent. I got into orchids around 2020.

If you’ve been growing orchids long enough, there seems to be a better chance not to want to reminisce on the money you’ve squandered.

Agreed. And DO NOT, under any circumstances, try to figure out how much you've spent on plants you've killed, or the total for all plants, supplies, equipment, and utility costs.
