White spots

    I just found these white spots on my oncidium new growth. Does anybody know what they are?

    They could be many things, I'd advice you to look for any insects near.
    I grow those, could you post a picture that is not that close, just to see the general plant health.

    What is your temperature and humidity?
    Is an hybrid?
    How are the growing conditions?

    I grow it on a South windowsill so it gets A lot of light. I don't really know what the humidity is but what I know is that I keep it at about 20-23 C in the day and 16-18 C in the night. It is an NoID plant but I think it is a hybrid. Here are two pictures of the whole plant.

    I think your plant looks very healthy. Personally, I don't think your little spots are anything to worry about.

    Hey, sorry I was away, how is your plant doing? It looks just fine! I will advice you to just keep watching it close for a couple of weeks, to see how it evolves.

    I think its doing fine. the new growth is exploding with new roots. But I am still worried the old pseudobulb is starting to go yellow, it has brown markings, aand the other pseudobulbs leaves are yellow not comletely.

    Okay well. That's something good, new growth is good!
    But the yellow leaves are something that I don't really like.
    What is in the media?

    Maybe putting a tray with stones under it will improve humidity!
    Just be sure the water doesn't reach the pot, I also started to think it might be too much light, thought my Oncidium never seem to have enough light, even in full bright light.

    I bet you have already read this, but it has happen that I sometimes forget the basics, do a quick check up of all tha basic care.
    Let the pot get a bit dry before watering again, fertilize in the growing season, I use natural fertilizers, home made.
    And my oncidiums seem to really like a day of shade now and then.
    When growing them on terrariums somedays I just let them enjoy the room light and whatever comes from the windows.

    I'm growing some new Oncidium hybrids and the ones near the window are a bit more yellow, but all pseudobulbs seem very firm to touch and bright green, but they are very young.

    I will try to find out if my window is north or south or something.
