Wild orchids of the Bruce Peninsula

    Corallorhiza striata

    Cypripedium sp. (likely pubescens) - we saw this growing everywhere and not a single one was in flower yet. I was supremely disappointed, but still happy to have seen them growing so bountifully. Will definitely need to make a trip back up to see these in full bloom!

    This was the most open one I could find...we were just a week too early!

    It's a 3.5 hour drive north of Toronto, so not that far at all. It was one of the most beautiful places I've been to in Ontario, and so much nature to see!

    Lucky you! thanks for the photos.
    The Goodyera is G.oblongifolia, as G.pubescens has a different ,all -over veining pattern.
