Wine cooler lights

Definitely led since anything else will produce too much heat. That's all I can tell you.

 

I use LED floodlights for outdoors, but it product heat too. But you can use LED-stripes and mount the electrical parts at the outside. Look at that.

I use Fluence Ray22 lights (indoor spectrum). Not sure on water resistance, but they've been fine in high humidity with nearby hand misting in my terrarium.

I've been using DIY linear modules (and COB LEDs) in a acrylic enclosure (3'x2'x2') and grow tents for several years. The light fixtures experiences high humidity (around 90%) in my enclosure, but it doesn't get splashed by water too frequently since I water by hand. When I use misting system in there (i.e. during the vacation), I turn on the mister at night after the light goes out. The LED drivers are outside to reduce the heat build up. Lots of commmercial fixtures are not as efficient as they can be. Low efficiency means that the energy is used to heat up the enclosure, so it might be worth building your own to maximize the efficiency (you can control the balance of efficiency vs cost vs total light output). If the fixture gets consistently splashed, I wouldn't go with this route, though.

It fits inside of the 3/4" aluminum C-channel (used as a heatsink) like this:

I've been using a Finnex Planted+ for about 18 months. I like the light spectrum on it, and things seem to grow well. It also seems quite durable and well sealed. I use the pre-programed setting so it changes throughout the day, but it can be a bit strong at times.

 

I put a spider farmer sf 1000 on the inside of my wine cooler, fits perfectly right at the top hung from the roof with eye hooks. Way more light and way less heat than what I previously used, which was an LED flood light. A few of the diodes are getting wonky now that it’s been in there for a bit more than a year, but I’m not sure if it’s a faulty unit or if the moisture is finally getting to it. I wired the driver on the outside of the wine cooler and typically run it at around 50%

 

What light did you end up picking? I'm building another out and considering my options. I've been toying with the Kessil A80, although a friend just point out the Fluval Nano to me as well.

 

Awesome! Did you get the controller? Or just the stand alone light? How did you end up mounting it?
