Has anyone thought about using a wine cooler / fridge for orchids? Most are adjustable temps from 48 to 68 f or so. I'm sure something could be done to help keep the fan dryish?or use different fans.. But it is a fridge so if guess it can deal with moisture..Also instead of cutting the top and siliconing glass to the top for lights or maybe the inside could be setup with leds with a plate of glass siliconed in to protect from the moisture? Seems like plenty of them for sale cheap enough on Craig's list I want a tank lol

They sell led waterproof light strips on eBay cheap, and what about changing it to a glass door with a hole for a fan? To bad you live to far away I have like five tanks to get rid of lol

Most wine coolers have a clear glass front door already. Drilling the sides or top wouldn't be a problem at all for fans or plugs whatever the case would need.

Do a "search" for wine cooler. There are several threads.
