Thanks for the honorable mention folks.

I have actually bought from very few commercial vendors, but so far I have been most satisfied with tropical orchid farm.

I already have all the Angs that anyone sells.
There is no vendor for me. Alas...:(

If anyone knows of a lesser-known nursery selling Angraecoids, I'd like to hear about it.

I would also like to add J&L and Parkside to the list of vendors. I love going to Parkside on a Sunday with the whole family and picking out plants from thier large selection. J&L is also a nice place and love stopping in on the way home from business trips to RI

Looked at my C. praetermissa today. Seems it likes the new glazing on the GH. 4-5 new basal off-sets.

    Sure, Peter.

Seriously, though, I really don't understand the reason for this plant's desirability. To me, it's essentially just part of a trade/gift and nothing too spectacular. Really. The flowers aren't special. The plant's not special. What is it?

Dale, it's an angraecoid thing i guess. Plus it is fairly rare in cultivation and very hard to find! My latest orchid focus is angracoids, dendrobiums, neofinetias and of course mini-catts! I have to focus, as like everyone else, i'm running out of room (space and wallet!)

Huh. I think Karen recently found C. praetermissa in a mini flask. I'll pollinate a bale of flowers next bloom and see what happens.

    Hi All
What about your worst vendor? What is the legality of announcing his name etc in a forum such as this? Do any of you want to know such info anyway?
A group of us paid over heaps of money for some 379 orchid plants in February 2006. Still haven't received them!

I like Marni Turkel as well. She's got some killer pleuro species.

I would want to know the worst verdors too, so at least I know who to avoid.
