I bought this at traders Joe's the tag read dendrobium nobile only having phals I didn't know that it wasn't a den. Trying to figure out what kind of orchid I have exactly I've learned it is definitely not a den. Researching I've got my opinion on the type a zygopetalum. What do y'all think? I need to know only because the care between genera can vary so much. Thank you please send me your knowledge on my orchid... B

Thank you Raven. I think so too just because when I got it tag read dendrobium nobile I didn't know only had phals. I've learned a lot from trader Joe's getting it wrong or whoever. Doesn't matter to me I just wanted to know so I can care for her proper.
Thank you I'm very glad you replied.

I have a bunch of seedlings of Zygopetalum triste, they haven't bloomed yet. Easy genus to care for.

My husband rescued it from a dumpster while throwing out trash:( how sad huh it made it doing good. Thanks again:).....B

Thank you:) I've read that zygopetalum article from aos. Do you grow zygopetalum? I thought if you did you might have some different ideas that have or have not worked for you. I'm used to phals almost kill proof. When I got my 1st (dumpster) I was terrified of growing an orchid. I put on a bathroom shelf forgot about it. Didn't water all summer. I still have her. Don't know how it survived. I now water & fertilize via ice cubes on my phals. What kind of orchids do you like? 1526068759789.jpg 1526068790884.jpg 1526068842472.jpg 1526068842472.jpg 1526068790884.jpg

I missed the reply from you " definitely a hybrid" does that mean it's a zygo hybrid?
    Thanks B
