    Hi
So the indeterminate orchid that I got from trader Joe's ( orchid had an incorrect tag) thanks to all that helped me. Consensus a zygopetalum or hybrid. That's my only confusion lays. Is there a zygopetalum hybrid? Or is there just hybrids? I do know What the definination of hybrid means however I've learned with orchids is a big variable. The flower has an amazing scent. Thought hybrids lacked the amazing smell?
    Thanks y'all for helping me figure out just what I have. I want to give it's proper care....B 20180508_125252.jpg 20180508_125125.jpg 20180508_125142.jpg 20180505_155211.jpg 20180508_125252.jpg 20180508_125125.jpg 20180508_125142.jpg 20180505_155211.jpg 20180508_125252.jpg 20180508_125125.jpg 20180508_125142.jpg 20180505_155211.jpg 20180508_125252.jpg 20180508_125125.jpg 20180508_125142.jpg 20180505_155211.jpg 20180508_125252.jpg 20180508_125125.jpg 20180508_125142.jpg 20180505_155211.jpg

I would agree that it is a Zygopetalum hybrid, but I couldn't say which one. There are a lot hybrids that use Zygopetalum as one or both of the parents. Some hybrids will carry the fragrance from the parents, some will not.

Not really. Species plants can be identified with precision. Someone with more knowledge of this complex might be able to make an educated guess with good photographs. It takes time and conscientious care to keep records of the parentage of a plant and to keep the tag with a particular plant through the years it takes to get it to market. When you shop at Trader Joe's or one of the big box stores you aren't paying for the kind of care it takes to have a correct label as well as a pretty plant.
